Western Regional Partnership Targets Arizona and New Mexico for Habitat Conservation

The Western Regional Partnership (WRP), a collaborative of federal, state, and tribal leadership, understands the need to protect vanishing open space and habitat corridors for wildlife. WRP aims to protect these and other natural resources while promoting sustainability, homeland security, and military readiness.
WRP is focusing on southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico, an area critical for jaguar, as one of two project areas.
Much may be accomplished, in terms of habitat and open space conservation, as WRP’s Natural Resouces Committee includes a great group of forward-looking people.
